Effective 31 October 2026
Short version: NERVous doesn’t track you, show ads or collect analytics, and there’s no account. We don’t run a server, so we never receive your data.
What stays on your iPhone
NERVous reads your calendar, reminders, Health data (sleep, steps and Activity rings), what’s playing in the Music app, and, if you turn it on, your Home accessories. It uses them only to draw the dashboard and widgets on your device. None of it is sent to us or anyone else.
The MAGI verdicts and episode titles are written on your device by Apple Intelligence.
Your settings sync between your devices through your own iCloud account, which Apple runs; we can’t see it.
What leaves your iPhone, and why
- Weather: your location, rounded to about 1 km, is sent to Open-Meteo and the US National Weather Service to fetch your forecast and weather alerts.
- Drive times: your location and your event’s address go to Apple Maps to estimate when to leave.
- Earthquakes: NERVous downloads the US Geological Survey’s public list of recent earthquakes and works out the distance on your device. Nothing about you is sent.
- Headlines: the news feeds you choose are fetched directly from their publishers.
- Services you connect: if you link Plex, Jellyfin, Navidrome, last.fm or Spotify, NERVous talks directly to that service with the details you entered, to show what’s playing. Their own privacy policies apply.
These services see the request NERVous makes (as any website sees a visit) but receive nothing else from us.
What we collect
Nothing. NERVous has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it doesn’t share data with data brokers.
Children
NERVous isn’t directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
